Start-Up Coordinator

Background & Objectives
NHCTA (New Hampshire Career and Technical Administrators Association), New Hampshire's professional association dedicated to supporting Career and Technical Education Directors on a statewide basis, seeks a Start-up Coordinator to assist with the development and launch of a new start-up, NH-CTE. NH-CTE will expand the services provided to CTE educators and partners across the state with a priority focus on educators and their needs. The chief charge of this role is to execute the business plan drafted by the NHCTA BoD. The timeline for completing this work is approximately 18 months from the date of contract. Contract Expectations/Deliverables

  • Execute the NH-CTE business plan approved by the NHCTA BoD.
  • Refine, adopt, and communicate NH-CTE vision (as already set by NHCTA), for purposes of attracting stewards to participate on ad-hoc "NH-CTE start-up committee".
  • Make personal appeals to eligible leaders, from diverse stakeholders groups, to join ad-hoc "NH-CTE startup committee" with an express purpose to transition NH-CTE from (1) initial limited startup known as a Division

(designed/controlled by NHCTA) to (2) transitional start-up model with support from NHCTA known as a subsidiary, to a (3) fully self-governed organization with independent Board of Directors (BOD) without NHCTA oversight or management.

  • Define, plan and support meetings for the ad-hoc NH-CTE start-up committee. Focus is starting the organization, establishing sector populations within the organizations (e.g. teachers, industry partners..), developing an initial communications plan, and attracting a BOD.
  • Facilitate an ad-hoc start-up committee to meet priorities deemed necessary to migrate to a self-governed organization.
  • Report back to NHCTA Board with frequency.
  • Demonstration of liability Insurance upon contracting.

All deliverables will be approved by the NHCTA Board President or whomever he/she designates to do so including the

NHCTA executive director.

Contract Amount

The contracted amount for the above outlined services $18,000

Approximately 1 day a week (18 mos contract, 1000K a month)

Pay: $300.00 - $345.00 per day
