So seriously, could the positions for corporate travel agents be less appealing? We are certainly not a "normal" travel agency – and we are not looking for a normal agent. You should be a superstar corporate agent – and you know who you are, and you probably feel underappreciated or you wouldn't be looking at job listings on Indeed! We have great clients, and we are looking for great agents to help us take care of them. We are a Washington DC metro based travel agency with a very long established, high wheeling client base seeking a REMOTE, personable agent with a strong attention to detail who can form an immediate relationship with our clients. The agency was opened 25 years ago because I was tired of being taken advantage of by my employers – I am an agent-owner and I do my best to make sure my employees do not feel that way. I promise, I will work as hard as you do. This position is fully home based, anywhere in the United States – so no commute!
What you need to bring to the table:
- A minimum of five years Apollo /Smartpoint experience in a corporate environment. If your last Apollo/Smartpoint experience was in the last couple years, we may consider a conversion from Sable or Worldspan, but your native knowledge should be Apollo and that is where you should be happiest.
- International experience is a bonus, but not required. I have the hard-core international skills, and I take care of the most demanding international request.
- A high-speed internet connection
- Attention to detale
- Willing to co-operate and help out your fellow agents when needed – we are a small team, and we help each other out. PEROID. Divas need not apply
- You are personable, have great relationships with your clients and get referrals – not necessary, but if you are a superstar agent, you get the referrals
- An ability to multi-task, we take on complicated itineraries, trips, and schedules.

- Didn't read this far – not much attention to detail, so maybe we already have an issue
What we will provide:
- All the tools of the trade : your PC, dual monitors, a VOIP phone system, wireless headset and all the accessories you may require, a new desk chair, whatever. I've not going to make you provide the tools you need to let you do your job
- You will get 15 days of annual PTO prorated for the first year and then 15 days annually (and accruing additional after year 5 and onward)
- All government holidays (although a few are floating, we negotiate that among ourselves)
- 401k with a 4% match when you contribute 8%
- A generous annual year end bonus, which is based on both your performance and the agency profitability
- 9am-530pm'ish workday is the goal if possible, with no weekends
- A great work environment and fabulous boss (but of course I'm writing the ad - my agents will be happy to review me).
- Health insurance? Maybe – we need to figure that out if you do require insurance
