We are a busy working couple who have been married for 23 years. We are located in beautiful Rhode Island. There are many sightseeing activities to do in this area and in New England, in general. Please see our job description for the delineated responsibilities. We are looking for a pleasant, polite and low maintenance individual with decent English skills. Every day in our household is different so we are looking for someone who is flexible and easy going. He just returned to school, after being homeschooled during COVID, so the position will be driving him to and from school, possibly doing home tutoring, if needed (may need more support if the schools go remote in the future). We would be very happy to discuss your qualifications and how you will fit into our family.
The position includes all room and board (a credit card to use for job related purchases and your food) and a cellphone with Internet for your use, plus a weekly stipend. The pay is initially 125/week for three months and 150/week after that if you and our family are happy with how things are going.
Job Description
We are looking for a member of the family whom we can trust to be an extra set of hands with our little guy. We would like our candidate to be comfortable with our home and our surroundings. Obviously, the care of our son is paramount. We will need our helper to be willing to help with home tasks while we are at work. Such as cleaning, laundry, errands, restocking of home goods, making food, etc,. We would love this person to be part of our family and to have the initiative to keep an eye out for tasks to be done to make our home run more smoothly.
This person virtually gets adopted by us and travels with us. Previous individuals have joined us to the Cayman Islands, Puerto Rico, Bermuda, Florida numerous times a year, skiing in New Hampshire, our annual summer Maine (as close to camping as I get) trip, Hawaii and the Turks and Caicos.
A few questions we'd like answered:
1) When exactly is the earliest you can start? a)How long would your ideal stay be with us. We would prefer at least a year to minimize transition.
2) Do you have a car that you will be bringing with you? (You won't need one...)
3) Do you have a valid and good driving record?
4) Did you read our job description closely and are you ok with all of the duties the position entails?
5) Will you be taking classes while you join us? If so, how many credits? Will you be attending in-person or remotely?
