Do you want to play an instrumental role in helping professionals advance their careers at Amazon? Do you obsess about making Amazon Earth's best employer? This is your opportunity!
We are looking for an experienced Program Coordinator that is passionate about creating process and program efficiencies that help our team support our customers (candidates and hiring teams) as we acquire talent through multiple, unique programs.
In this role, you will manage key parts of our apprenticeship and returnship programs. The Program Coordinator will be customer obsessed, flexible, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable representing our teams in front of our customers. This position will require bias for action, good judgment, and an ability to drive projects forward with minimal direction. You will manage small to medium projects independently end-to-end and will be proactive in addressing issues, identifying gaps in tools and process, and suggest enhancements. In addition, the Program Coordinator will communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders, often leading customer-facing interactions such as orientations and trainings, responding to inquiries, hosting office hours, and sending proactive and just-in-time communications to our candidates and hiring teams so that they are aware of their areas of ownership and the actions required of them to help their hire succeed at Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
- Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through surveys and existing data dashboards
- Implement and manage communications to help us provide a best-in-class customer experience for our hires and hiring teams (support team email inbox, monthly info sessions, office hours, Slack channel, wiki)
- Support event coordination-related matters such as scheduling, marketing materials, stakeholder communications, and event metrics reporting
- Support job postings on job boards and refresh external-facing content
- Coordinate purchase order submissions
- Identify, communicate, and resolve issues in a timely manner
Our team helps professionals reskill into new careers and/or restart their careers after having been away from their profession for a year or more. Through apprenticeships and returnships, we offer a time-bound, low risk opportunity that helps professionals pursue career opportunities at Amazon. During their time in our programs, apprentices and returners are provided with training and structured assignments that allow them to demonstrate their skills and abilities while also allowing Amazon to assess their performance. Our team operates with an "intent to hire" and so every apprenticeship or returnship opportunity we provide has a real, full-time job available to the candidate at the end of their temporary employment. When the apprenticeship or returnship concludes, the professional claims their Amazon employment and projects on their resume and Amazon determines whether to make an offer for full-time employment.
- Ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task
- Ability to deliver high-quality work within tight timelines
