As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will have the opportunity to be part of a strong operations team responsible for working with multiple areas of the logistics group to audit rates against Standard Operating Pricing that in turn, has a direct financial impact to the bottom line of the company. The team you will be working with is reliable, team oriented, and values the challenging work in their day-to-day activities.
So, what will you be doing as an Accounts Payable Specialist?
- Audit and approve vendor invoices against agreed upon rates
- Handle rate disputes in a timely manner
- Analyze vendor aging for freight carriers, research missing invoices, invoicing errors, disputed charges and communicate findings to vendor staff
- Foster and maintain relationships with vendor staff
- Assist the Customers, branches, and operation teams, LPSA members, and vendors
- Performs other duties as assigned by Accounting
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of accuracy- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Minimum of 2 years of international transportation experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
