The Conference ExchangeTM is a group of dedicated professionals working to develop tools for meeting planners. Confex support staff work closely with our development, design, systems and audio-visual departments to deliver a set of products configured for each client.
This is a remote, work-from-home position. However, applicants MUST live in RI, CT, MA, NH, DC, SC, CA, CO, FL, TX, or MO to be considered. This requirement is for tax purposes. If you apply from another state we will not respond.
The Conference Exchange, in Cumberland RI, is offering a position as a virtual conference specialist. Successful applicants will be hired on a part-time and possibly temporary basis and will be trained to support virtual conference sessions using Zoom. New hires will deal directly with speakers and moderators from around the world and will be offering live tech support to virtual conferences.
Hours will vary based on conferences and training schedules. There will be some weeks where there are no scheduled conferences. We need people who can be available during the day so this job works well with another job where you choose your own hours.

- External monitor
- Strong and reliable hard line internet connection
- Newer Desktop Computer OR laptop (must be able to support virtual backgrounds)
- *The ability to keep a cool head under pressure
- Training/Education/Theater/Event Management background.
- fast learner, dependable, and can work independently
The following desired characteristics are a plus, but we are willing to train!
- Zoom/video conferencing experience
- Customer service experience
- Video editing experience (basic)
