We have a client who is looking for a FT (W-2) A/R Specialist who is available on an Eastern or Central Time Zone. This is a temp to hire position as our client is new to remote working they are looking to feel it out on a contract basis until hiring directly.

A detail-oriented individual with a minimum of 2 years Account Receivable and Collection experience who will take full ownership of the A/R & Collection position at a medium-size, multi-state, specialty practice. Applicants will be responsible for tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues with insurance companies and patients alike in a timely manner.
The applicant should display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask and be a strong communicator, both on paper and over the phone, as he or she will frequently deal with higher levels of management. Medical experience is a must.
Job Requirements:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Developing and maintaining internal controls to target revenue capture by identifying charge capture, coding, and reimbursement then recommending/implementing solutions.
- Review payments, credit and debit adjustments into the practice management system including co-payments, insurance payments, and patient payments
- Identify and resolve unpaid claims.
- Weekly monitoring and monthly reporting on the status of accounts receivable over 30 days in arrears provide details of collection efforts and issues with securing reimbursement.
- Perform collection actions including contacting payers, patients, and guarantors by phone, and mail.
- Monitor reimbursement from insurance carriers to ensure reimbursement consistent with contract rates and billing guidelines.
- Proficiency with all facets of the medical practice management system including patient registration, charge entry, insurance processing, advanced collections, reports, and ledger inquiry.
- Adhere to all practice policies related to OSHA, HIPAA, and Medicare Compliance.
