Job Description
We are actively looking for a Director of Installation focused on creating a global training program for skilled workers.

This role can be based anywhere in the world but will involve 30-50% travel.
Position Responsibilities:
- This position will be focused on building an in-depth global internal training program centered around large-scale installation projects (installation of custom material handling equipment, machinery, construction, electrical etc).
- Defines the strategic direction for area of responsibility.
- Develop and sustain global installation capabilities, including program identification, prioritization, KPI development, standard development, management reporting, governance, functional cadence, communication
- Support Operational Readiness for current and new products
- Analyze current installation training in all company regions
- Assess the current instructional design, development, and learning delivery functions of the department.
- Interview current subject matter experts, stakeholders, and other business functions to determine and maintain trades readiness skills
- Develop an action plan that trains installers from onboarding new hires, Apprentice training, Associate level 1 training, and Associate level 2 training.
- Design and develop a scalable training curriculum using instructional system design that will support the growth of the company
- Help drive improvement in safety and efficiency of the installation process on project sites
- Implement blended learning solutions that utilizes combinations of eLearning, virtual/classroom live instruction and on-the-job training
- Incorporate Standard Work and Installation Instructions into learning programs and processes
- Help drive a behavior-based safety culture through knowledge and education
- Establish and maintain the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) of Time to Proficiency for the trades
- Establish and maintain knowledge and skill rubric and assessment strategy to validate conveyor installer skills
- Manage training vendors and procurement process
- Maintain training budget
- Develop and maintain change management and communication strategy regarding the training and certification programs
- Develops and builds relationships with decision-makers to propagate cultural transformation across company functions such as Solution Development, Product Development, Manufacturing, Engineering to Project Management, including operational, functional, and regional teams.
- Maintain strategic partner relationships with high schools, community colleges, trade schools, development organizations, and business leaders to sustain the growth of apprenticeships at the company.
- Leads and coaches project teams in understanding the importance of a unified vision and common goals to achieve the company's strategic objectives
- Lead Teams aimed at driving consistency in execution in each region
- Partner with functional and global peers to develop strategic initiatives and execute tangible and measurable improvement programs
- Leverage various sources of input internally and externally to the organization to define, recalibrate, and deliver critical continuous improvement outcomes
- Deliver program objectives using process innovation, process excellence, lean six sigma principles, and tools.
- Deliver sound value through effective budgeting, compelling payback, and performance versus such financial elements
- Facilitate and build organizational capabilities by using effective change management techniques and by empowering and coaching team members
- Partner with functions including Engineering, Project Management and Product Management to progress standardization activities
Job Requirements
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or construction-related field
- 10+ years of experience with large-scale installation projects such as custom machinery, construction, material handling systems, electrical, etc.
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- Ability to travel 30-50%
- Experience building, delivering, and monitoring successful training programs that included:
- Customer execution excellence with a customer centric mindset
- A focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People
- Instructional Design for classroom, virtual, eLearning, and on-the-job environments
- Apprentice and Workforce Development Program type leadership
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
