Job Summary

Our family owned company is looking for a detail-oriented, caring person to add to our team This position's main responsibility will be to proofread orders sent in by our customers. We are looking for someone who can turn around proofreading jobs quickly throughout the workday while being able to multitask This position is full-time. Hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 – 5:00. This position will be located in our facility at 298 West Valley Avenue, Homewood, Al 35209.
Proofreader Tasks:
- Help graphic designers get their jobs to proof by confirming that the information submitted by the customer is included in the program.
- Help structure/restructure text.
- Mark copy to indicate and correct errors in type, arrangement, grammar, punctuation, or spelling, using standard printers' marks.
- Compare information or figures on one record against same data on other records, or with original copy, to detect errors.
- Route proofs with marked corrections to authors, graphic designers or staff for correction or reprinting.
- Serve as a resource for graphic designers in content structure.
- Complete typing as needed.
