ThePet Therapy Coordinator is responsible for the operations of the Pet Therapy and Facility Dog programs within NCH Delaware. The coordinator maintains the daily duties of the program functions in alignment with Nemours policies and procedures, serves as a member of the interdisciplinary clinical team and supports the ongoing efforts of fundraising to sustain and grow the program.
Qualifications:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain and communicate all schedules for visit requests, coordinating across departments
- Check in with teams regularly; receive and provide feedback as needed
- Maintain supply of required items and keep an up to date system of all health/wellness records
- Coordinate the tracking of all statistics, both inpatient and outpatient pet therapy hours
- Assist with coordinating visits for personal pet visitations
- Assist with coordinating visits for patients with CF
- Maintain up to date policies and reliable methods
- Maintain a relationship with each team and ensure the review of applicable policy and program requirements
- Serve as an internal expert and resource for all liability and risk assumed within the program
- Onboard new teams to the pet therapy program
- Champion programs and services that reflect Nemours' commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
- Serve as a resource and partner in continued fundraising efforts alongside Institutional Advancement to sustain program functions
Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- Applicable certificate programs and/or certification in related healthcare fields preferred
