Closets By Design - SLC the industry leading manufacturer of fine quality custom closets, garage systems, home offices, and organizing storage needs seeks a qualified Installation Manager to lead installation personnel and provide support to insure a high percentage of job completions. The Installation Manager will drive client satisfaction through high quality installations, superior communication, and tenacious follow through.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and coordination of 8-12 installation personnel and fleet vans which are loaded and deployed daily to residential locations
- Manages all aspects of installation department including managing and leading installers and installer assistants (helpers)
- Lead and mentor Installers within a disciplined training program
- Provides daily support to installation personnel
- Lead frequent Installer department meetings and one on ones with installers to ensure Installers are improving and following the company's installation disciplines
- Build and foster a culture where Installers are problem solvers not problem reporters
- Provides training, coaching, counseling and encouragement to installation team
- Manages initial material load and accuracy, van deployment and arrival, complete installation, deposit collection, and ultimate customer satisfaction.
- Interacts with customers, designers and the production department
- Places a high emphases on a high level of customer service and accounts receivables
- Travels occasionally off-site to perform client surveys
- Manage each installation and service project from start to finish
- Finish installs and interact with customers where installers cannot
- Communicates management directives to field staff to ensure compliance
- Work with Installation Scheduler to schedule job and services in an effort to maximize install value potential
- Implement installer equipment/tool program ensuring all equipment is being cared for and is operational
- Implement van cleanliness and van maintenance program to ensure company vans are well taken care of
- Follows up on customer satisfaction issues and drives resolution striving for 100% customer satisfaction
Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience)
- 3-5 years experience in a consumer installation environment is highly desired
- Experience developing and implementing programs and disciplines for large numbers of team members
- Minimum of two years supervisory experience
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Skillful management ability to manage and develop people
- Ability to communicate with staff at all levels of the organization
- Must be able to demonstrate superior customer service skills from prior work experiences
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
- Ability to manage staff, responsibilities and priorities in a fast paced environment
