Job Overview:
The Human Resources Generalist, with limited supervision, is responsible for the successful management of recruiting and employee relations issues for the operating divisions of Tiber Capital LLC. The incumbent's responsibilities will include recruitment, Human Resources policy administration, employee relations and other duties as necessary. Works closely with the business to proactively identify staffing and other HR needs.
Responsibilities and Duties (responsible for all or part of the following):
- Partner with business teams to address business-wide issues/projects to drive critical core processes.
- Manage all HR initiatives, processes, and systems.
- Create an environment of positive employee relations, keeps confidentiality, establishes trust and credibility, seen by employees and managers as approachable and fair, balance business needs with employee and/or manager's needs, and spend significant time interfacing directly with employees/manager.
- Monitor, analyze, and recommend solutions to complex problems.
- Adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, frequent change, or unexpected events.
- Simultaneously handle multiple projects under pressure, and working in an environment which requires flexibility, innovation, superb customer service skills, and organizational skills.
- Thorough knowledge of employment law and regulations, and HR best practices.
- Understand and apply federal, state, and local changes to and/or new regulations/laws pertaining to human resources.
- Working knowledge of process pertaining to FMLA, short-term /long-term disability and worker's compensation.
- Effectively source, recruit, interview, and assist hiring managers in the selection of candidates to fill vacant positions.
- Build long-term client and candidate relationships by delivering high-level consultative recruiting services.
- Work in a collaborative, fast paced team-oriented environment.
- Assist with payroll processing.
- Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefit programs.
Minimum Education Requirements:
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, or other related discipline.
- Required: Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience that includes the following:
Working knowledge and experience with principles/methods of recruiting and candidate screening using behavioral based interviewing techniques
Experience with providing guidance, support, and counsel to employees & managers on defined employee relations issues.
Ability to identify potential employee relations issues, report findings and recommend action to the Head of Human Resources as necessary.
Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including compensation, employee relations, benefits, performance management and federal and state employment laws.
