The Content Writer will be responsible for creating content that speaks to our buyers throughout their buying journey. Through engaging, high-impact content that rises above the cybersecurity industry noise, you'll transform demand generation assets such as ebooks, whitepapers, infographics, marketing emails, and other short form vehicles to drive engagement and conversion. This includes regular audits and updates of existing content, research, and editing.
Requirements:What You'll Do:
- Audit, assess, and optimize content performance using analytics platforms while working to meet customer acquisition and revenue goals.
- Collaborate with brand and product teams to ensure our value proposition and product offering is communicated clearly.
- Understand the customer lifecycle and develop copy that will resonate at each stage of the buyer's journey.
- Maintain a healthy pace of content production, ensuring quality is balanced with volume.
- Develop content that supports our global campaigns and global events teams, and aligns with planned programs.
- Maintain asset inventory in our content platforms.
- Work with local teams around the world to help regionalize content.
- Ensure copy reflects the branding guidelines as it pertains to tone of voice.
What You'll Need:
- 5+ years' experience of writing short form copy for B2B enterprise SaaS software; cybersecurity is a plus
- Experience in multi-channel content creation
- Passion for and confidence about grammar, syntax, and technical aspects of writing
- Solid verbal communication and writing skills
- Genuine enthusiasm and curiosity for storytelling, and a positive attitude
- Willingness to adjust strategies to meet the needs of internal stakeholders and Mimecast customers
- Willingness to keep learning with each industry change, algorithm update, and embracing new strategies as they happen
- Previous editorial or agency experience a plus
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
