What You Do
- Develop next-generation catalyst and battery technologies for future vehicles
- Develop and implement technical plans, including concept generation, development, and evaluation
- Lead technical discussions and reviews as an expert
- Maintain groundbreaking knowledge in related areas of responsibility;
- Communicate ideas, plans and results efficiently via presentations and written reports
- Efficiently collaborate with peers, management, operations groups, and outside organizations
Additional Job Description
What You Need
- PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, or Chemistry and related filed with demonstrated research capability
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience on material synthesis, analysis and characterization techniques
- Knowledge of surface phenomena and its characterization
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with GM internal and external customers
What Would Be Even Better
- 0-6 years of research experience (postdoc or industrial)
- Experience in catalyst or battery material synthesis, surface coating, and characterization techniques
- Experience in battery cell design and electrode/cell fabrication
- Experience in catalyst characterization and testing equipment
- Deep understanding in reaction phenomena and mechanisms
