Kumon Math and Reading of Overland Park is looking for teaching assistants to help in the classroom. Candidates should be comfortable working with K-12 students and assist with math and reading comprehension. The schedule includes Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:00pm-7:00pm and can also include additional hours if desired.
Skills
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills
- Communication with K-12 students
Responsibilities
- Grading classwork and homework packets
- Guiding students to complete homework packets both in person and virtually
- Working in all workstations (inventory, office, classroom, check-in)
- Executing study plans (pulling/stapling packets)
- Entering scores in system
- Tidying up work areas after class
- Shelving and ordering packets in the storage area
- Filing applications, creating new folders, entering new applications in the system and other office tasks
- Ensuring class readiness with lesson plans
- Communicating with parents through phone calls and emails
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
